I want to be rainbow high…

On Saturday I had the pleasure of going wedding dress shopping with my beautiful sister. Bil & Mum were also in toe to admire & offer opinions.

Wedding dress shopping is rather nice. The troublesome part is my sister looks stunning in just about every dress. Plus as soon as a veil appears I start bubbling. Luckily all spectators were in sync with regards to which dresses were contenders. The bride to be decided there is still more shopping to be done.

So, what did I wear to whitest enviroment in the world? All the colours, of course. I’ve had this rainbow delight for a couple of weeks & have been dying to get it on. It’s a super comfy maxi with the cutest crochet top.

The colours & the crochet make it feel very summery. Alas, Autumn appears to be upon us in Glasgow, but this will definitely be going in my Australia suitcase, which is in need of cool day dresses.

After shopping we had some lunch in a cosy/cool pub where Bil & I couldn’t resist messing around with the mirrors.

I see right through you…

What do you wear when it hits 30 in Glasgow? Well, if you’re me you go for an entirely sheer maxi dress. And you fucking love it.

I teamed it with this light summery shawl & the only shoes my swollen feet will consider. Then because I am a style fairy I slipped on some jewellery which matched perfectly.

Bracelt & Ring – Accessorize

I adore this outfit. I felt laid back sexy & incredibly comfortable in the hot weather. I took my see through dress to a movie where we  were frankly terrified for an hour & a half. The Shallows is good, but be prepared to let out the odd scream.

I go a walking…

My body has been up to mischief again this week. My kidneys decided that what I really needed was another infection. So, it was more hospital antics & anti biotics for me.

Somewhere around the 2nd kidney infection I discovered that pacing was by far the most comfortable stance. Having thoroughly scunnered myself with traipsing up & down my hall I thought perhaps I should take my restless body outside. My trusty sister & Seb came to the rescue with a slow walk around the park.

Spring is putting on a fine show & getting out was a good call. Seb had a rare time sniffing, whilst Lauren & I talked about the mens.

I was aiming for heavy on comfort, easy on frump outfit wise. With that in mind I teamed my favourite flowing maxi with waist cinching belt. I also turned to some red lippy to further perk me up. I don’t know why it helps when I feel dreadful, but it sometimes does.

Spring Forward….

I wish Spring would hurry along. Not just because I am perpetually freezing, but also because there are crazy cute pieces filling the shops. Here are a few beauties I cannot wait to get on my body.

Lavish Alice, Diamondoodles (Etsy), Yours Clothing, Simply Be.

Barnes, Asos, AmyBlueIllustration, Simply Be.

Meg Biram, Lindy Bop, Forever21, Feminist Apparell.

Primark, Asos Curve, Asos, Lindy Bop.

As soon as there is the slightest hint of spring in the air I am going to be one chic, flirty babe.

Pink, it’s not even a question….

It feels like forever since I have done an outfit post. I keep wearing my funkiest looks when I have no photographer. Anyway, here’s a cosy wee number I put together for a walk with my sister & Seb.

This skirt & t shirt are bargains from a recent haul. The ‘sorry, not sorry’ print amuses me & woolly skirts keep my bum warm; what’s not to love?

I also discovered that if you feel a bit dodgy pink lipstick will go a long way in perking you up. This bright hue is from Nyx, whose products I am fast falling for.

I actually can’t stop wearing this skirt. It’s just so perfect for this time of year. So, here’s a sneaky wee selfie of another look.

How cute am I?

Looking at the Autumn shade…

Last Saturday I was feeling a touch of cabin fever. So, I made myself look as presentable as possible & popped out to see a film.  Sold out movie & other cinema fails put paid to that plan. Hence, we retreated to Starbucks & had a nice long gab.

I took some pictures thinking they’d be   useless, but it turns out I didn’t look quite as rough as I thought. It’s jumper dress time again & this one combines my fav colour with my go to style. Teamed with my new boots it’s the ideal Autumn ensemble.

She wore blue velvet…

I took a little time out of being spoiled on Monday & snapped some pics. It was a bright sunny day & I was sporting a bright sunny outfit. So, click click.

Vest – Primark

This outfit was a bit of a rush job as I faffed around all morning & then had to jump in the shower with only 40 minutes left to get ready. I have to say though, I am quite pleased with the results. My all time favourite skirt, paired with comfy vests & galaxy leggings totally works.

The winner takes it all….

I broke out of the house for a couple of hours on Saturday night. I went to a local place for dinner with my BFF. It recently occurred to us that we’ve known each other for 30yrs, which is terrifying, but also completely lovely.

It was good to be out & even better to put on some cute clothes. However, my stupid brain forgot to tell me to photograph them . I did manage to snap a few selfies including one that both looked pretty & included my new favourite thing.

Brooch – Poesie & Grenadine (Etsy)

That brooch carries a superb sparkly embroidered, Thunderthighs are go. Jewellery does not get better than that.  It’s over, we have a winner. Go home non chubby loving trinkets.

Wildflowers….

On Sunday I embarked on a wee visit to see my Mum, which descended into a mad wild goose chase. Much frustration & losing of tempers later we rescued the day with lingerie shopping & cake.

It goes without saying that we also found time for a little blog shoot. I was tempted out into the wind by this bed of pretty flowers. I’ve become a bit of a wild flower devotee. Not only do I love their, well, wild beauty, the are a life source for our bees. If you weren’t aware, our bees are in danger & we really need them. 90% of vegetable crops depend on bee pollination. Those fuzzy bellied little guys are very useful. So, if you have a place to do so, plant some wild flowers.

Anyway, after my own little detour, I will get back on point. I threw together a couple of items that were meant to see me through the a long hot summer, but actually require leggings & cardi to be wearable. In Scotland we work with what we’ve got.

I’m glad this sheer shirt works with layers as I love it. It’s nice to know I can get some wear out of it as the seasons change.
